WaterBrooks. Taken from Psalm 42:1 “As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, O God.” The vision…a place designed for solitude and prayer…a place to be still and to Know that He is God. We will return to WaterBrooks in Vermont the first of May as the leaves are just beginning to unfurl and the swollen brooks are still roaring with the melted snow running off the mountains. A pair of Canadian Geese have already laid their eggs in a nest at the foot of the Cross, and are quietly resting in the shadow of the Cross. Such a silent but powerful reminder that we, too, are to lay down our burdens, our hopes, our dreams, at the feet of our Lord, and to simply trust Him with a quiet heart.
A local Vermont pastor visited WaterBrooks a few weeks ago for some quiet time alone with God, and sent these short videos to us in Ohio where we spend the winter months. As you watch them, please remember to pray for us as we desire to serve Him by serving His people.
Simply trusting every day;
Trusting through a stormy way;
Even when my faith is small,
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
Trusting as the moments fly,
Trusting as the days go by,
Trusting Him, whate’er befall,
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
