Spring has returned to Waterbrooks where the running streams of pure water offer refreshing life to the weary traveler. And so it is with our spiritual walk, as God’s pilgrims traveling through this world. To live an abundant and fulfilled life, we need to be drinking deeply from the One who is our Water of Life.
With that in mind, we are thrilled to incorporate daily Living Water on our website. We can also send Living Water every morning to you by text to encourage, edify and lift your thoughts upward.
Living Water is daily scripture verses that will begin on May 1st with the emphasis on God. God is the head of our existence, and the source of our faith. He is our Father. “In the Father we have the unseen God, the Author of all. In the Son, God is revealed and brought nigh. In the Spirit of God we have the indwelling God, the power of God dwelling in human body and working in it what the Father and the Son have for us.” (Andrew Murray) God is the head of the Trinity that lives in us, for us, and with us. Thus we start the daily Living Water with these thoughts of God. As we continue our daily journey, in time we will dwell on thoughts of God the Son, and then God the Spirit, but, as in all beginnings, we must start with God the Father.
The written Word of God begins with these four profound words…IN THE BEGINNING GOD… John 1:1 sums it up with this mind-boggling statement. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God.”
