The intoxicating scent of lilies is wafting on the warm summer breeze today. These tree lilies were a gift some years ago from a local Sunday school group of kids who wanted to help beautify the property. And they add a whole new dimension of gorgeous!
Lilies always remind me of Sue. Her full name, Susan, means Lily, and her middle name, Kay, means Pure.
Sue knew, lived, and testified to the fact that God had saved her from a life of selfishness and sin, washed her clean in the blood of the Lamb, given her a beautiful purpose, and in His eyes, because of Jesus, she was as pure as a lily!
And in her last years of sickness and affliction, she carried the sweet fragrance of someone who had been in the Presence of Jesus…
…truly representing the meaning of her name.
I would love to have more lilies here at Waterbrooks in every array of color, style, and size imaginable.
If you are dividing or thinning your lilies this fall, (growing zone 4-5) Or you see a pretty packet at the hardware store, please consider helping to beautify WaterBrooks!
We’d love to plant them here
from you in memory of Sue.
