Yay, friends! Rejoice with me, for I have found that which was lost!

~ a thumb drive, which holds an incomplete manuscript of a book Sue was writing which holds treasures of stories in her own words! Some of the stories relating to her journey with multiple sclerosis were already added into the book, Staying In The Race which we wrote together.

I was with her for most of her journey with MS and that book was a pure joy to collaborate as we relived the stories of the faithfulness of God.

The incomplete manuscript which I found today holds powerful stories that I did not experience with her! But I could actually hear her energy and enthusiasm coming right through the written words. And I will be most excited to share them with you as I continue writing and compiling the many stories of Sue Thomas’ amazing life.

For now, it’s my delight to share a few sentences with you for you to see the faith behind the scenes that made her such a powerful inspirational speaker. (But you will have to buy the published book to enjoy her stories!)

“I am not a writer. My grades in English were so poor and I was so ashamed and embarrassed that even in all my years of travels, I would not write a letter to my own mother, even though she begged to hear from me. I would not even attempt to write this story of my life today, except that I have learned something through my journey that I want to pass along like a baton to others in this Marathon.

I face the journey of life armed with a secret. It is not that block busting concept of what is buzzing on the lips of so many today.. that we can shape our own destiny through the power of our own mind.

I tried that and spent the first half of my life so lost on the journey that I couldn’t even run away. It took me a good many years to come to a true knowledge of The Secret and in the course leading up to that time, I did what I wanted, and following my own will and desires I hit many potholes in this narrow path of life.

The secret that I have discovered is this; that before time was created, the scripts of our lives with our journey were planned out and written by the great Creator Himself. And He makes no mistakes, but assigns purpose and meaning to every difficult detail in our lives.

Life is a great mystery that is revealed to those who earnestly seek, and truth will be the guide for those that long for the peace and the joy.

We just need to trust Him and hang on for the ride of our lives!
