“God has created the music in every one of us, whether we’re deaf or hearing. Never be afraid to sing adoration and praise to the Creator.”

Sue Thomas
Sue Thomas

Sue Thomas, has been profoundly deaf since infancy, has had MS for over 20 years, and most recently has overcome cancer and being on a ventilator with Covid. Sue’s passion is to encourage people in all walks of life by sharing from her own life’s experiences. As a master storyteller, she has been on the speaker’s circuit for over 35 years. Her first book, Silent Night, inspired a Dove Awarded, Faith and Family TV series, Sue Thomas FBEye. She has written a book about her MS, called, Staying in the Race, and will be releasing two more books later this year, including a children’s book called, Levi Hears for Sue, teaching about deafness and Hearing Dogs. She lives in Ohio with her full-time nurse and travel companion, Deborah, and her current Hearing Dog Rodney. They spend summers in Vermont, at WaterBrooks, developing the vision God laid on Sue’s heart many years ago, to build a place that is quiet and set apart where God’s people can come into the silence away from the noisy world.

“Come away by yourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” Mark 6.31

With her family she has sung on the streets of New York City’s Times Square to Russia’s Red Square in Moscow. It was on one of their many mission trips to Eastern Europe that she met her husband, Marek, from Poland. They have two sons, and live in North Port, Florida, and part time in Narew, Poland. Her interests include meeting new people, traveling to new places, and living life with an open door. Her desire is that women will be drawn to Christ through her singing, speaking, and living for the glory of God.
